Aethel

Privacy Policy

Applies to the Aethel Wallet browser extension and the website aeth.co. Effective October 10, 2026.

In short: Aethel Wallet is self-custody. Your recovery phrase and private key are created and stored encrypted on your own device and are never sent to us or anyone else. We do not sell data, show ads, or use tracking or analytics. To show balances, preview transactions and make swaps, the wallet sends your public wallet address and transactions to the services listed below.

1. What stays on your device

The extension stores the following only in your browser's extension storage. We cannot see it.

Removing the extension deletes all of this from your browser. Your funds stay on the Solana blockchain and can be restored with your recovery phrase.

2. What is sent, and to whom

To work, the wallet makes these requests. None of them include your recovery phrase, private key or password.

ServiceWhat it receivesWhy
aeth.co (the old address aethelterminal.com forwards here)Your public wallet address, transactions you ask to preview or send, and swap requestsReading balances, simulating transactions so you see what they would do before approving, sending signed transactions, and swap quotes. Our server passes these requests to our Solana network provider and to Jupiter.
Jupiter (jup.ag)Token addresses, swap and order amounts and, when you swap or place / cancel an order, your public wallet addressToken names, logos and prices (also for price alerts), building swap transactions, and limit orders and recurring buys (created, listed and cancelled through Jupiter's on-chain order programs)
Coinbase (api.coinbase.com, api.exchange.coinbase.com)Price and chart requests (no wallet data)SOL price in US dollars, and 15-minute price candles for setup alerts
GeckoTerminal (api.geckoterminal.com)The token address of the chart you open (no wallet data)Price charts on token pages and lists of trending coins on other networks
Blockscout (eth / base / robinhoodchain.blockscout.com), mempool.spaceYour public addresses on Ethereum, Base, Robinhood Chain, BNB Chain and BitcoinShowing your balances and tokens on those networks (read only)
Public network nodes: publicnode.com (Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain) and Robinhood Chain's node (rpc.mainnet.chain.robinhood.com)Your public 0x address, the token balances asked for, and the transactions you sign and send on those networksBalances on BNB Chain, network fees, and delivering the sends you approve. Signed transactions are public on those networks by design.
CoinGecko, Binance (api.binance.com), DexScreenerPrice and chart requests (no wallet data)Prices, 24-hour changes and charts for Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB and coins on other networks
Relay (api.relay.link)When you buy a coin on another network: your Solana address, your public address on that network, the coin and the amountBuilding the cross-network buy; Relay delivers the coin to your own address (or refunds you)
wsrv.nl, 4everland.ioPublic logo links of tokens (no wallet data)Loading token logos reliably
Trezor Connect (connect.trezor.io), only if you add a TrezorThe Solana account paths you ask for and the transactions you ask your Trezor to sign; Trezor's own window opens for thisTalking to your Trezor (PIN, confirmation on the device). A Ledger is reached directly over USB from your browser, without any third-party service.

These services receive your IP address as part of any internet request and handle it under their own privacy policies. Transactions you send are published on the Solana blockchain, which is public by design: anyone can see the activity of any wallet address.

3. Websites you connect

When a website asks to connect, the wallet shows which site is asking and only shares your public wallet address if you approve. A connected site can ask you to approve transactions or sign messages; nothing is signed without your click in the wallet's own window. With a Ledger or Trezor, your keys stay on the device and every transaction is also confirmed on it; hardware wallets sign transactions only, not messages. You can disconnect sites at any time in Settings. On aeth.co, the website can also send the wallet the positions you opened there (token, amount and cost) so the wallet can show your profit or loss; this is stored on your device only.

4. Alerts, orders and portfolio

Alerts are stored and checked by the extension on your device; notifications are shown by Chrome. Limit orders and recurring buys lock the tokens in an order account on Solana that only your wallet can cancel; Aethel never holds them. The portfolio page and its value history are kept in your own browser's storage.

5. Our website and server

aeth.co is hosted on Cloudflare. Our server does not keep logs of wallet addresses or transactions. To protect the service from overload, it keeps your IP address in memory for about 10 seconds to limit the number of requests; it is not stored. The website remembers a few preferences and your positions in your own browser's local storage. To show markets, charts and news, the website's pages also ask Coinbase, CoinGecko, Jupiter (including its chart service datapi.jup.ag), GeckoTerminal (also through our server, which keeps its answers briefly) and DexScreener for public prices and charts (no wallet data). Our server reads public news feeds (CoinDesk, Cointelegraph, Decrypt, The Block, Bitcoin Magazine, Bitcoin.com, The Defiant, BeInCrypto); your browser only talks to our server for news, and headlines link to the original publishers.

6. What we do not do

7. Children

Aethel is not intended for children under 18.

8. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
